1. All
anglers aged 12 and over must have in their possession an Environment
Agency Rod Fishing Licence.

2. No
litter to be left anywhere, please place in the bins provided. (Please
assist in keeping waste management costs down & vermin controlled
by taking home your unwanted baits, packaging, tins etc).

3. All
nets to be dipped in the disinfectant tanks stationed around the lake before
fishing. No knotted nets (now illegal)
|
|
4. Keepnets
to be emptied after 5 hours, maximum 20lb of fish at any
time to be retained.
|
|
5. All
fish over 3lb to be returned after inspection and / or photograph,
they should not be retained.
|
|
6. Anglers
must have a landing net in their possession whilst fishing.
|
|
7. Anglers
fishing for Carp must use an unhooking mat and a landing net of at least
36ins opening diameter, or a specimen net.
|
|
8. Fishing
is only permitted from the dedicated platforms provided.
|
| 9. Only
one rod, pole or whip to be in use per angler restricted to a single swim
at any one time. However two rods and reels may be used from September through
to the end of February.
|
| 10. Rods
must not be left unattended at any time whilst in use.
|
| 11. Barbless
hooks only, limited to a maximum size 8. Fine wire and / or bent
shank hooks are not allowed.
|
| 12. Braided
line must only be used for hook lengths, not permitted as main line.
|
| 13. Fixed
leads (2oz max) and feeders are only allowed when used as part of a safe breakaway system
|
| 14. Method
feeders are not allowed, also includes overloading of swim feeders.
|
| 15. Cage feeders are limited in size to 40mm (1.5
inches). |
| 16. Feeding bait using the Spodding method
is not allowed. |
| 17. Electronic buzzers to be turned down, noise to
be kept to a minimum at all times, especially at night to avoid complaints from
nearby houses. Also please do not disturb other users of Feldale lake &
Park. |
| 18. No cutting back of the reeds is allowed unless
you are snagged on them or you have a fish on which has become
snagged. |
19. All Junior ticket holders must be accompanied by
an adult, except those over the age of 12
who live in the parish. Regardless of age Junior's are not allowed
to night fish unless they are accompanied by an adult.
(This is an insurance requirement) |
| 20. No
press publicity of any fish caught in Feldale is allowed. (Please use the website
photo gallery)

| 21. No tents or bivies allowed around the lake
& No open fires. (except those controlled by committee for
clearing) |
| 22. Fishing sessions to be restricted to a maximum
of 24 hours, with a 12 hour break prior to return. |
| 23. Please keep to the 10mph speed limit on the
approach road to Feldale, beware of children and pedestrians.
Also the drove past the main entrance is private property and should not
be used for parking or turning. |
| 24. You are reminded should you bring a dog to
the lake it must be on a lead whilst you are fishing and be under your control
at all times.

| 25. Disabled anglers are permitted to ask a non
disabled angler to vacate an allocated disabled access swim if there are
no other disabled access swims available. (Please be considerate to
disabled anglers) |
| 26. Guest anglers when purchasing a day permit agree
to abide by all of the above rules. Season permit holders are responsible
for making their guest aware of these rules. |
| 27. The committee reserve the right to close Feldale
Lake & Park for maintenance or matches as required. |
| 28. Non-permitted baits as follows: Nuts (all
forms), Trout pellets, Trout paste, Boilies. |
| 29. Permitted baits are as follows: Sweetcorn (all
forms), Bread (all forms), Pellets (except Trout), Ground bait may be used in
moderation, Luncheon meat (all forms), Dog biscuits (Chum mixer type), Worm,
Maggot, Hemp & Tares. |
| 30. Any person/s found to
have contravened any of the above rules, found to be guilty
of vandalism to any part of Feldale lake & park or its surroundings
(trees, benches etc), will have their season permit withdrawn and be
banned permanently. |
